Leroy Logan wins G100 Award
The G100 symposium, “Women Overcoming Barriers to Success: A Cross-Sector Narrative Perspective of Hope”, at the University of East London Docklands brought together an extraordinary group of global women leaders. Over two days, powerful discussions took place, centered around breaking barriers and fostering gender equality.
Hosted by Dr. Doirean Wilson, the event offered an empowering atmosphere that encouraged collaboration and growth.
During the event, Leroy was given a Recognition and Leadership award for his ongoing work of public service, including his time since retirement in 2013.
Reflecting on the day, Leroy Logan noted, "It was great sharing a panel with Dr Stuart Lawrence and receiving an award... Doirean Wilson created a positive atmosphere, drawing up a list of inspirational women overcoming barriers as role models."
The conversations focused on resilience, leadership, and collective empowerment, amplifying the voices of those shaping a brighter future. The diverse gathering was not just a showcase of women in leadership but a testament to the enduring strength and influence of women in the Caribbean and Commonwealth.
Such symposia reflect the ongoing importance of platforms like G100, where leaders unite to inspire, uplift, and share their journeys toward greater equality.
