Leroy Logan story nominated for 15 BAFTAs

Leroy Logan MBE continues to be recognised on the awards circuit as British actor John Boyega is nominated yet again for his portrayal of the former Superintendent.

This time, John was nominated for the ‘Best Leading Actor’ award in the nominations announced on the 28th April.

Boyega’s is one of 15 nominations bestowed upon Steve McQueen’s mini-series which broadcast on the BBC/Amazon Prime late last year.

This nomination comes after Boyega’s Golden Globe and Critic’s Choice Award wins and makes up a crop of Black British talent making waves here and across the Atlantic.

Of the nominations, Leroy said “The BAFTA nominations are a great acknowledgement of the extremely successful Small Axe family that I'm proud to be a part of. Whether we win or not, it’s still a success.”

The results will be announced on June 6th 2021.
